  • Helman Tor Cottages are situated in mid-Cornwall within one of the largest nature reserves managed by the Cornwall Wildlife Trust, the Helman Tor Nature Reserve is a large wetland complex spreading from the slopes of Helman Tor  and is one of the wildlife gems of the County. Centuries of tin streaming here has created a landscape of hummocks and hollows, host to a patchwork of wildlife rich habitats including wet and dry heathland, acid grassland, large areas of willow and oak woodland and numerous ponds.  
  • The cottages are close to the historic towns of Lostwithiel and Fowey and provide easy access to many local attractions including the Eden Project which is just 7 miles away and Lanhydrock House just 3 miles away providing an interesting day out to a Jacobean House surrounded by beautiful gardens and 450 acre estate which has an extensive cycle routes available for all levels of experience. The cycle routes connect to the Camel Trail giving access by bicycle to Padstow.
  • There are many walks available in the conservation area and a short walk takes you to the Saints Way which starts in Fowey and goes past Helman Tor and then takes you on to Padstow.

Helman Tor Cottages provide quick and easy access to many of the Poldark filming locations for both the 1970's series and the latest hit series.

Helman Tor

Helman Tor one of many impressive natural geological features of Cornwall. The cottages are situated on the eastern side and just below the tor.
